Star IT Appoints Janne Korpela As CEO to Drive International Growth

Star IT, a fast-growing Finnish IT services company transforming how businesses manage and scale their IT, announces the appointment of Janne Korpela as its new Chief Executive Officer. Korpela brings a strong background in international growth, technology, and strategy to lead Star IT’s next phase of expansion.
As part of its growth strategy, Star IT is also expanding its European presence with a new office in Munich, Germany. The company grew by 37 percent last year and now serves customers in over 20 countries. Its clients include growth companies, expert teams, and listed corporations such as leading digital consultancy companies Gofore and Vincit. As CEO, Korpela will focus on strengthening Star IT’s position as the next-generation IT partner for fast-scaling and globally expanding businesses.
Before joining Star IT, Korpela served as Vice President of Markets at Swappie, where he was responsible for market expansion and international growth. Earlier in his career, Korpela worked as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company, led investor relations at Slush, and was one of the founders of Wave Ventures, the first student-run venture capital fund in the Nordics.
